So, you’ll all be glad to know that very soon there’s a pretty good chance you’ll be able to get another few long weekends off soon in Dubai. So, if you’re looking for something to do on your long weekend, then there’s always the many amazing brunches in Dubai.
Holidays in Dubai
Although we’ve just had a public holiday, Eid Al Fitr after the holy month of Ramadan, it’s looking like we’re going to get another two long weekends during the rest of 2018, which sounds amazing to us. There are two more public holidays coming up in the United Arab Emirates and they’ll be Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha.
Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha will be falling on either Tuesday the 21st of August or Wednesday the 22nd of August which, if it all works out, could mean that we get an extra 3 days tacked on to the weekend which means we’ll get an amazing 5-day weekend and only a 2-day weekday. Which, personally, we believe should be the norm year-round but we’re working on that.
The exact dates of the holidays are not set in stone because it does depend on the sighting of the moon, but it’s definitely looking like Arafat Day will be landing on Tuesday the 21st of August. Again, we feel like it’s an important point to make that it’s going to mean a 5-day weekend!
After we’ve all recovered from the incredible once-in-a-lifetime 5-day weekend then the next holiday that’s lined up for the 2018 calendar will be Commemoration Day, which always falls on the 30th of November and will be a Friday this year.
Then, afterwards, we’ll all be invited to join in the celebrations for UAE National Day, which will land on Sunday the 2nd of December this year meaning we’ll get a lovely little 3-day weekend before the year is out.
